The office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) has said that it has identified 24 officials of the IEBC that will be charged following the nullification of the August 8 elections.

Dorcas Odour, Secretary of Public Prosecution did not disclose whether the officials identified are directly linked to the supreme court ruling.

She made the remarks after receiving a petition from the civil society under the banner of ‘Kura Yangu Sauti yangu’ who asked for the prosecution of all electoral body officials who participated in the botched elections.

The Supreme court is set to release the detailed judgement on September 22.

The NASA coalition has been calling for the prosecution of the officials and had even indicated that the DPPs office was partisan.

The opposition has insisted that CEO Ezra Chiloba should not be part of the fresh presidential elections.

The independent body has however said that it will be forging ahead as a team.
