Thirty-three Kenya Airways passengers were injured on Tuesday at around 2 AM when a vehicle that was ferrying them from the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport got involved in an accident along Mombasa road.
The passengers had been scheduled for a flight to Bangkok, Thailand but it was rescheduled due to a technical problem causing the airline to accommodate the guests in a city hotel.
In a statement, the airline reported that their ferrying vehicle was thrown off the road by a trailer.
“The van was hit from behind by a trailer throwing it off the road, injuring a total of 33 passengers,” said the airline.
