    IEBC Official Commits Suicide After Elections

    Orenge Nyabicha, an IEBC presiding officer committed suicide over the weekend at his home in Quarry, Pipeline.

    Nyabicha who is a former employee of the Standard, arrived home from his polling centre in Imara Daima and according to a relative, he appeared disturbed.

    He apparently lit a charcoal stove and sealed off all ventilations.

    Mr Nyabicha is said to have left behind a suicide note that expressed his disappointment in the electoral commission for not delivering a free, fair and credible election.

    The note also said that Kenya had a long way to go before realizing change and that he was going to heaven to be in Mahatma Gandhi’s company.

    An autopsy conducted at the city mortuary on the the remains showed that he died of carbon monoxide poisoning.
