Coast Human Rights Network have denounced in the strongest term the ongoing NGO harassment of AFRICOG and Kenya Human Rights Commission.
”Accused persons should be accorded a chance to be heard as this s a requirement of the law.”
The had the following demands:
- That the government guarantee the physical and psychological integrity of Human rights defenders at the KHRC and AFRCOG
- The government should refrain from capricious legal actions against the two organizations
- That the government complies with the provisions of International instruments which Kenya is signatory to.

The NGO board has no jurisdiction over AFRICOG as they are registered as a company and not as an NGO.
The statement was signed by 23 civil society organizations from the coast region.
