IEBC Commissioner, Dr Akombe Roselyn has denied fleeing claims leveled against her on social media.
The senior commissioner was reportedly arrested at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) trying to leave the country on Tuesday night without clearance from the Head of Civil Service, Joseph Kinyua.
Dr Akombe has however said that she was at no point trying to run away from the questions being raised on the credibility of the just concluded electoral process.

She has insisted that she is out on official business and will be back on Sunday to work with her colleagues on the next stage of the electoral process.
Ms Akombe was at the time of issuing the statement in London.

The unforgiving social media users also said that the commission’s Vice Chairperson, Consolata-Nkatha Bucha Maina was a wanted criminal who killed her husband before running away to Australia.
