The Supreme court has announced that it will give a ruling on the presidential petition on Friday, September 1.

The Chief Justice David Maraga thanked counsel for the petitioner and respondents for the level of decorum they exhibited throughout the hearing .

He however said that he would not specify the time the ruling will be given.

All counsel made their final submissions with the petitioner praying that the court annuls the presidential elections on account of extreme irregularities in the transmission of results.

The petitioners lawyer also submitted  that the election was not about numbers but integrity of the whole exercise.

The respondents however submitted that the presidential election was credible and the technical irregularities were very minimal to consider an annulment.
