    President Uhuru Kenyatta Starts Campaigning, Insists He Is Still President

    uhuruPresident Uhuru Kenyatta on Friday started his campaign trail at Kamukunji’s Burma Market together with Deputy President, William Ruto.

    Speaking to Burma market traders, the President promised to have the market refurbished starting next week as he did, Kenyatta market.

    H e also threw jabs at the Supreme Court Judges who in the morning nullified his win sending him back to the ballot.

    With him was Elgeyo Marakwet Senator, Kipchumba Murkomen and Nairobi County Governor, Mike Sonko who alluded that the four judges had been bribed into overturning the will of the people.

    Murkomen who is now the Leader of Majority in the Senate threatened to have removed all the Supreme court judges. He also warned NASA against strong arming the government into a ‘nusu mkate’ regime as was in 2008.

    Leader of Majority in the National Assembly, Aden Duale also accompanying the party leader added that the ruling party would not only beat the NASA camp but would thrash them. He said that Jubilee with the help of its governors, Members of Parliament, MCAs win by 70% +1 votes.

    The President also thanked Kenyans for ensuring that his party carried the day.

    He also asked the people to maintain peace and calm.

    Kenyatta also maintained that he was still the President and not the President elect. He vowed to continue with his development agenda.

    Uhuru’s win was this morning overturned by 4 of 6 SCOK judges who said the process was marred with irregularities.

    Dissenting to the majority decision was Justice Njoki Ndung’u and Jackton Ka’jwang.
