NASA principal, Raila Odinga on Friday revealed that some of the IEBC Commissioners have had their security details withdrawn by the state.
Speaking at the Okoa Kenya Offices, Odinga said that the commissioners were allegedly being threatened by state agencies. He also claimed that the unidentified electoral body officials were receiving threatening messages.
”A number of IEBC commissioners are under serious threat by the government after their security was withdrawn. Some are receiving very threatening mails to their lives,” the former Prime Minister said.

He alleged that the threats were meant to intimidate the officials into making sure that President Uhuru Kenyatta won the 17 October vote.
The ODM party leader asked the state and Inspector General of Police, Joseph Boinnet to reinstate the officials’ security detail so as to carry out their mandate in peace.
