migunaMiguna Miguna, Raila Odinga’s former aide has praised the NASA presidential candidate for withdrawing his candidature from the fresh presidential elections slated for October 26, 2017.

The international lawyer applauded Odinga’s move saying that it will ‘separate the quacks from the patriots.’

Thank you @RailaOdinga for creating a constitutional crisis; the SINE QUA NON for TRANSFORMATION. Let's separate quacks from patriots!

The former Nairobi Governor candidate also pointed out that the former Prime Minister and his running mate, Kalonzo Musyoka’s move had caught President Uhuru Kenyatta by surprise hence ‘intellectually outgunning’ him.

    Both @UKenyatta & @WilliamsRuto are caught pants down with @RailaOdinga's & @skmusyoka's withdrawal – INTELLECTUALLY OUTGUNNED! #Ballot2017

Odinga, on Tuesday officially wrote to the IEBC confirming his withdrawal from the October polls.

He accused the commission of not taking into account the opposition’s ‘irreducible minimum’ demands before undertaking a new election, that he says will also be flawed.

The ODM party leader also asked that the electoral body hold fresh nominations for candidates within 90 days as is required by law, should a candidate withdraw form the race.

The Jubilee government has however maintained that the presidential elections will be held on the said date, with or without Odinga on the ballot.

Some Jubilee MPs have called for Kenyatta to be declared President unopposed.
