Nyeri nominated MCA, Beth Nyawira was on Tuesday kicked out of the County Assembly for dressing inappropriately.
The chair of Youth, Sports and Social Services committee was wearing a short sleeveless dress.
Speaker John Kaguchia only last week ordered that female county assembly members put on coats to avoid showing their arms.
“This Assembly is a house of honor and therefore all members must carry themselves in an honorable manner.The members dressing and mannerism during plenary should not bring the reputation of the Assembly into dispute,” the Speaker said.
Anthony Ndagita, Kirimukuyu ward representative brought the matter up for discussion, asking for the Speaker to provide guidance.
“Mr Speaker kindly guide this house for the mode of dressing for the Honorable member. The speaker recently ruled on how MCAs should dress.”
The deputy, Anthony Ndagita therefore ruled that the MCA had gone against the rules of the house and ordered the sergeant at arms to escort her out of the Assembly.
