    Apollo Mboya Moves To Court To Bar Advertisements On National Government Achievements During The Election Period

    Apollo MboyaLawyer Apollo Mboya  filed a petition declaring that the advertisement of the government’s achievements during the past four years was in contravention of section 14 of the elections offenses act.He wants the court to declare the advertisement of different projects and programs undertaken on the www.delivery.go.ke as illegal and unconstitutional.

    Apollo Mboya wanted the court to declare that the refusal or delay by the DPP to exercise his constitutional powers to investigate and prosecute those responsible for the offenses under the Election offenses Act be declared illegal irregular,unlawful and unconstitutional.

    He also wants a permanent injunction be issued against the government  and its agents from advertising the achievements by the national government in the delivery portal,or any print or electronic media or by way of banners in public places during this time of elections.

    The court through the the deputy registrar of the High court of Kenya declared that all the declarations made by Apollo Mboya be granted therefore barring the advertisement of the governments achievements on print and electronic media.
