    Anyang Nyong’o Declares Week Of Mourning In Kisumu, Says There Will Be No Repeat Elections On October 28

    Kisumu governor professor Anyang Nyong’o has declared one week of mourning in Kisumu county following the raid that was carried out in Kisumu on October 26. Kisumu county boycotted and resisted the the fresh elections in their county

    Most ballot materials could not be transported to various polling stations and therefore the IEBC decided to postpone the elections in Kisumu ,Migori,Homabay and Siaya county to Saturday October 28.

    The Kisumu governor said that if Chebukati wanted the elections to take place in Kisumu he would have to raise the people who had been murdered so that they can also vote.

    Anyang Nyong’o said that the Nyanza regional coordinator promised to investigate the casualties who had gone to Jaramogi Oginga hospital with gun shot wounds, He also called on the CS interior Fred Matiang’i to come out and explain why such brutality was being meted on innocent Kenyans.

    Anyang Nyong’o therefore declared a week of mourning in his county to mourn the death of the people who had died in the five hour raid.
