The Judiciary is on the spot over lack of law courts in most parts of the Country as court cases are thus held in make-shifts and temporary centers.

Senior Counsel Ahmednasir on his twitter account exposed now he had to conduct a case from a youth empowerment center in Embu while a multi-million building meant to hold law courts has stalled in the county for over two years

The lawyer averred that the Judiciary received a Sh10 billion grant from the world Bank and is well greased by the country’s Treasury hence mo tangible excuse why a court house stalls for over two years terming it as “crazy.”

A report by East Africa Bribery Index released in August 2017 sowed that the Judiciary is the third most corrupt institution in the land at 48 per cent, only beaten by police and Lands Ministry.

When he took office last year, Chief Justice David Maraga  admitted that corruption is rife in the judiciary but  promised to tackle it head on.
According to him ten percent of the staff in the judiciary including judges and clerks were involved in graft which was tainting the name of the institution.
The onus now lies with the Judiciary and its relevant heads.
