Lawyer Miguna has allegedly been charged in Kajiado under criminal case number 174 of 2018.
The office of the ODPP said that he received the draft of the charge sheet that Miguna Miguna appeared before the court in Kajiado.
Miguna Miguna has been charged with being present and consenting during an oath administration binding Raila Odinga to commit a capital offense namely treason. Also charged with being part of an assembly as well as being a professed member of a proscribed group – National Resistance Movement.

The charge sheet according to lawyer Haron Ndubi was defective because it was signed in central police station which is outside the jurisdiction where Miguna Miguna was charged.
He also indicated that as of yesterday afternoon there was no charge against Miguna.
This is the the third time that the police have failed to produce the vocal lawyer in the court, and also the third time that the state has defied court orders.
The DCI and the IG failed to appear in court in person saying that they were a attending a security conference.
Miguna’s lawyers have demanded that the lawyer be brought to Nairobi Milimani law courts.
