Chief Administrative Secretary (CAS) for the Foreign Affairs Ministry, Ababu Namwamba was reportedly hit by his estranged wife, Priscah Mwaro, on the head during one of their heated arguments hence his newly found love for hats.
According to KenyaLiveNews the former Budalangi MP was attacked by Ms Mwaro with what might have been a ‘heavy kitchen object.’
She is said to have accused the former Labour Party leader of being a ‘philanderer’ and it is during the shouting match that things became physical.
The always dapper-looking CAS had blood coming from his head but it is not clear whether he needed medical attention.
His signature glasses were also broken during the altercation.

Ababu has been spotted putting on hats since his first day at the Foreign Affairs Ministry offices.
It has also been said that Ms Priscah has been fooling around with a gymnasium instructor. She was after the revelation kicked out of their Viraj Apartments home in Kileleshwa by Ababu.
Ms Mwaro allegedly took off with their children and the two living separate lives.
