Three men were Tuesday charged with dealing in aloe gum valued at Sh15 million.

At the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport courts, the Prosecution Counsel led by Paula Rono told the court authorities found Adan Adaw Abdullah, Ahmed Yusuf Abdurahiman and Chode Cheme Chode with 15 tons of aloe gum.

She explained that that the accused were arrested on April 13, 2025 at the Merti junction road block along the Marsabit-Isiolo Highway in Samburu County.

They were found in possession of aloe gum while aboard a lorry with a street value of Sh15 million without a valid permit.

They pleaded not guilty to the charges before Senior Principal Magistrate Njeri Thuku

The accused will be remanded at the Industrial Area Prison pending a pre-bail report.

The case will be mentioned on May 24, 2025.
