    Woman fatally stabs husband in domestic fight in Kayole

    A man was found dead after he had been stabbed by a woman believed to be his wife in a domestic fight in Kayole, Nairobi.

    The incident happened in Kioi area on May 7 dawn.

    The couple had a fight in their house before the woman reached out to a knife that she used to stab him in the stomach.

    Police said the woman escaped after the incident. Neighbours rushed to the scene following screams from the woman and the man as they fought.

    The man was found in a pool of blood and rushed to hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

    The body was moved to the mortuary pending autopsy as police hunt for the killer.

    In Kamukunji area, Nairobi, a man was found dead in a lodging hours after he had checked in.

    The deceased had visible injuries on the neck and back when the body was discovered on Tuesday at the VIP Classic Bar and Restaurant.

    Police said no identification documents were found on the man.

    The body was moved to the City mortuary, awaiting identification and postmortem examination.

    In Embu’s Itabua area, one Lucy Nkatha Marete, 57 collapsed and died instantly at the gate of her employer.

    The woman had arrived for work at a farm in the area when the incident happened.

    The body, which had no physical injuries, was removed and taken to Embu County Level Four Hospital Mortuary, awaiting autopsy.

    Elsewhere in Ortum, West Pokot, a man believed to be mentally challenged attacked and killed another man in a tragedy.

    The assailant used a farm spade fatally injuring the deceased on the head and hands.

    The victim was rushed to Ortum Mission Hospital, where he was admitted but succumbed to the injuries while undergoing treatment.

    The assailant escaped the scene and efforts to arrest him are ongoing, police said.

    The body was moved to Kapenguria Referral Hospital morgue, awaiting postmortem examination.
