Detectives are investigating an incident where a man aged about was found murdered and his body abandoned in a coffee plantation in Ngewa area, Kiambu County.
The motive of the murder was not immediately known.
The body had multiple injuries when police arrived at the scene to pick it up to the mortuary pending an autopsy and other procedures.
Police said they are investigating murder in the incident.
In Lamu, a Briton was found dead on his desk.
Police said the victim identified as Wheeler Peter Spencer, 68 was on holiday in Kenya when he died at the weekend. He stayed in the Shella area where he died while glued to his laptop.
A caretaker told police he heard the victim scream and when he went to check on him he found him unresponsive.
Spencer had been on a surfing spree in the area before he retired to his room where the incident happened.
Efforts to save him did not bear fruits, witnesses said.
The body was moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy and other procedures.
In Malindi’s Kilima Ndogo area, an Italian national was injured in a robbery at his house.
A gang broke into his house through the rear door and robbed him of Sh60,000 and 2,500 Euros, mobile phone, jewelry and other valuables before hitting him on his head and escaping.
Police said at the weekend they had enhanced patrols in the area to address the insecurity incidents being reported.
The man was admitted to hospital in a stable condition.
Locals have complained of increased armed crime in general. Local police said they had mobilized more personnel to address the menace even as they urged cooperation among the residents and visitors.
At least one such robbery is reported daily in the area in the past weeks. This has been worsened by organized goons targeting private property.
