Mya Lynn Lesnar, born on April 10, 2002, in Alexandria, Minnesota, is an emerging American track and field athlete specializing in the shot put.
As the daughter of WWE superstar and former UFC heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar and his ex-fiancée Nicole McClain, Mya has grown up in the shadow of her father’s legendary athletic legacy but has forged her own path in collegiate sports.
Raised in a close-knit community far from the spotlight of professional wrestling, she attended Alexandria Area High School, where her athletic talents first shone brightly.
Beyond athletics, she harbors aspirations to serve in the U.S. military, reflecting a grounded sense of purpose and patriotism that defines her character.
Siblings
Mya’s twin brother, Luke Lesnar, born minutes apart on the same day in 2002, has been a constant companion and motivator throughout her life, fostering a competitive yet supportive sibling rivalry that pushed both toward excellence in sports and academics.
Luke, like Mya, grew up in Minnesota and has pursued his own athletic interests, though he prefers to stay out of the public eye.
On her father’s side, Mya has two half-brothers from Brock’s marriage to former WWE Diva Rena “Sable” Marlette Lesnar: Brock “Turk” Lesnar, born in June 2009, and Duke Lesnar, born in July 2010.
Both Turk and Duke are passionate ice hockey players, embodying the family’s enduring love for competitive sports and carrying forward the Lesnar tradition of physical prowess on the rink.
Additionally, Mya maintains a connection with her stepsister Mariah, Sable’s daughter from a previous marriage to Wayne Richardson, who tragically passed away in 1991.
Career
Lesnar’s athletic journey began in earnest during her high school years at Alexandria Area High School, where she quickly established herself as a force in track and field by capturing the Class AA Minnesota state championship in shot put in 2019.

Her raw power and technique caught the eye of college recruiters, leading her to initially commit to Arizona State University before transferring to Colorado State University, where she now competes for the Rams as a senior thrower.
At CSU, Mya has transformed into a record-shattering competitor, starting with her breakout performance in December 2023 when she hurled the shot put 18.50 meters at the Mines Alumni Classic, eclipsing the previous school record by over a meter.
This marked the beginning of an unstoppable run, as she continued to refine her form under the guidance of dedicated coaches and with vocal support from her family, including her father Brock, who often attends her meets.
In the 2024 season, she dominated the Mountain West Conference (MWC), securing her first of four consecutive titles with throws that showcased her explosive strength and precision.
Transitioning seamlessly between indoor and outdoor seasons, Mya competed in high-stakes events like the NCAA Indoor Championships, where her consistency propelled her to national prominence.
Following her junior year, she entered the 2025 outdoor campaign with even greater intensity, breaking her own records multiple times, most notably with a personal best of 19.60 meters on May 3, 2025, at Jack Christiansen Track, which not only shattered the CSU facility record but also stood as the top women’s outdoor shot put mark in the NCAA that year.
Despite a valiant effort at the 2024 U.S. Olympic Trials, where she threw 16.77 meters but fell just short of qualifying for the Paris Games, Mya rebounded stronger, entering the professional circuit post-graduation by competing in the prestigious Diamond League series.
Accolades
In 2024, Lesnar claimed the NCAA Indoor Shot Put National Championship in Boston, Massachusetts, with a commanding throw of 18.53 meters, earning her first All-American nod and cementing her as the top-ranked women’s shot putter in the United States at the time.
That same year, she was named the Mountain West Female Athlete of the Year, a testament to her versatility and leadership on the Rams’ track team.
Mya swept the MWC Championships with four straight shot put titles from 2022 to 2025, including an outstanding performance in 2025 where her 18.61-meter throw highlighted her as the conference’s top field performer for both indoor and outdoor seasons.
Her record-breaking feats extended to school honors, as she holds Colorado State’s all-time marks in both indoor and outdoor shot put, while ranking third in weight throw and hammer throw.
The pinnacle came in June 2025 at the NCAA Outdoor Championships in Eugene, Oregon, where Mya won gold on her very first attempt with a 19.01-meter throw—edging out second-place finisher Abria Smith by 16 centimeters and marking CSU’s first outdoor national title since 2005.
This victory made her a two-time NCAA champion and a four-time first-team All-American, drawing parallels to her father’s own NCAA wrestling triumph in 2000.
