The body of a 14-year-old boy was found on the roadside after his murder in Njoro, Nakuru County.

Police said the body was discovered on Monday November 10, 2025, a day after he went missing.

The boy had gone missing on Sunday after he left a local church in Jordan area, his family said.

Come Monday morning, his body was found lying in a pool of blood with deep cuts in the neck. Police said blood was oozing from his anus. A white cap and green belt that were stained by blood lay next to the body, police said.

The motive of the murder was not immediately known. The body was moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy and investigations. No arrest has been made so far.

In the same area, two men were lynched over claims of a sodomy case that had been reported in the area.

Police moved the bodies to the mortuary pending an autopsy and investigations.

Elsewhere in Rumuruti, Laikipia County, a 39-year-old man drowned in a dam as he was fishing.

The incident happened on Monday November 10, 2025 as John Mbugua was busy fishing at Limunga Community Dam.

His son reported the father had slid and drowned prompting the search for the body on Monday evening in vain.

The body was later retrieved, police said.

In Rhamu, Mandera County, police recovered 700 rolls of bhang and three kilos of the same drug that had not been processed in a raid at a house after a shooting incident.

The raid was prompted by a gunshot that was heard from the house. Neighbours called police after hearing the gunshot and when the team arrived at the scene they found the house locked.

It was then that they broke in and recovered the narcotics drugs with a pair of military boots, a jungle uniform and an unregistered motorcycle. A spent cartridge of 7.62 by 51 mm was found in the house.

Police said they are investigating the incident and the recovered exhibits were moved to the local station for safe keeping.
