    Four juvenile remandees escape from remand at Kisumu Children Home

    Police are investigating an incident where four juvenile remandees escaped from the Kisumu Children Remand Home.

    This was after they used the home’s to escape on Monday. They were yet to be rearrested on Tuesday December 9, 2025, police said.

    Three of them were aged 17 while the fourth one was aged 13. One had been charged with offence of possession of ammunition without firearms certificate, stealing, burglary and sexual offences respectively.

    They escaped through the roof of the store. Efforts to rearrest them were ongoing on Tuesday, police said.

    In Muhuru Bay, Migori County, a man was arrested after he had fatally assaulted another one in an altercation.

    Police said David Odoyo, 28 succumbed to the injuries following the assault.

    His body was on Monday moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy.

    In Londiani, Kericho County, police arrested a suspected brewer of an illicit brew for murder. This was after a reveler died after consuming alcohol he bought from the suspect on October 4, 2025.

    In Elburgon, Molo, Nakuru County, a man was found dead on a sofa seat. Police said the man had consumed second general alcohol that is believed to have caused his death.

    The body was moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy and investigations.

    In Kimuchu, Thika, Kiambu County, a man was stoned to death over claims he tried to steal clothes from a boutique. The man was rushed to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.

    Elsewhere in Tendwet, Narok County, one Richard Kiprotich Koskei, 67 died after falling into a river.

    He was crossing a river when he slipped and fell therein hitting his head on a stone.

    He died instantly. The body was picked up and moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy. Police said they are investigating the incident.
