A 32-year-old man was stabbed and killed in a fight between two neighbours in Ngong Town, Kajiado County.

Police said Boniface Onyango and his neighbour were fighting in the Gichagi area when he was stabbed in the abdomen and back. He was later rushed to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead while being attended to.

It is not clear what prompted the fight between the two men.

Locals got news of the man’s death and descended on the suspected assailant badly injuring him. Police had to rescue him from the angry mob and rushed him to a local hospital where he was attended to under police guard.

The drama happened on Wednesday December 10, 2025, police said. The body was moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy and other procedures.

Elsewhere in Kapsowar, Elgeyo Marakwet County, a 19-year-old man was arrested over the murder of another man in the Kapsagar area. The motive of the murder of Philemon Kibet was not revealed.

Police had moved the body to the mortuary pending an autopsy and other procedures.

And a man who had stolen a ride on a lorry fell off and died along Kangundo Road in Dandora area, Nairobi.

The lorry was racing from Kangundo to the city centre when the incident happened on Wednesday. The man was hanging on the rear side of the lorry and loosened his grip at a bump and fell off sustaining fatal head injuries.

His body was moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy and identification, police said.

In Vihiga’s Emuhaya area, a man was stoned to death on claims he stole from a shop. He was identified as Muyela Astwa, 35.

His body was moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy and investigations. Police discourage cases of mob lynching and want suspects to be surrendered to authorities for processing and possible prosecution.

Cases of mob lynching have been on the rise in various places in the country amid efforts to solve the trend. Police say those caught in the incidents reported will face serious charges.
