Detectives are investigating an incident where an Indian technician was found dead with stab wounds at an apartment in Kilimani area, Nairobi.
Police said the victim, identified as Thandalam Madapusi Soundara, 31, was found writhing in pain with a stab wound in the chest outside Marcus Garvey Gardens.
The discovery was made on New Year’s Day at dawn, and it is not clear who was behind the incident. A good Samaritan said he heard the victim writhing in pain and moved to help him to hospital where he succumbed to the injuries.
The victim was an employee of Prodapt Consulting UK. Prodapt is a leading service provider of digital and network services to the telecom and media industries.
The police said they had not established the motive of the murder. The Indian High Commission was informed of the incident.
The body was moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy and other procedures.
Police said they were pursuing the suspects in the murder of the man.
In Kandara, Muranga County, one Hilary Kibe Njoroge, 29 was found dead in a river.
His body was found submerged in the Thuge River after a suspected murder.
Police said the discovery was made on New Year Day and the body had a deep cut on the neck.
It was further established that there was a pool of blood about a few meters suggesting the deceased was murdered around before he was dumped inside the river.
The motive of the murder was not immediately known.
And a man was stabbed and seriously wounded by a boda boda rider in an argument in Ikinu, Githunguri, Kiambu County.
The victim sustained a deep wound in the rib after the attack on New Year Day. The two had argued before the rider reached out to a knife that he used in attacking him. The incident happened outside a church.
The victim was rushed to the hospital and admitted in stable condition. The assailant escaped the scene, police said adding efforts to trace him were ongoing.
