    Man fatally stabs woman, injures two others in attack in Riruta

    A man fatally stabbed a woman in his house in an altercation in a village in Riruta, Ngando, Nairobi County.

    The man also stabbed and injured another woman and her 15-year-old daughter in the rage on Saturday January 17 morning, police and witnesses said.

    The motive of the incident was not immediately established and the deceased was unidentified. The injured woman and her daughter were rushed to hospital with injuries in the head and hands. They were neighbours to the assailant at the plot, police said.

    The assailant escaped the scene after the attack and police said they are investigating the same.

    In Katito, Kisumu County, a man was clobbered to death by his brothers in a domestic feud over a piece of land.

    Police said Michael Onyango, 32 died in hospital after the attack in his house. The assailants escaped the scene after the murder on January 17, 2026, police said.

    The body was moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy and other procedures. Police said the efforts to arrest the assailants were ongoing.

    In Naivasha, Nakuru County, one Paul Mabiri, 34 died in hospital after an assault by his wife in an altercation. The wife was arrested for murder investigation following the January 16 incident, police said.

    In Menengai, Nakuru County, a suspect was arrested over a murder incident that happened on January 29, 2023 in Gatanga, Muranga County.

    Meanwhile a French child aged four was killed in an accident in Naromoru, Nyeri County.

    This followed an accident involving a car that the child was traveling in on January 17, police said adding the driver of the car was overtaking other vehicles when the incident happened. Four other French nationals were injured in the car. Five other occupants of a car belonging to Kenya Wildlife Service were injured in the incident.

    Police said they are investigating the incident.
