A 67-year-old woman died after she fell from the balcony of a residential house in Kiambu Town.
It is not clear how and why Alicadah Nginda fell off from the seventh floor of the house, police said of the February 13, 2026 incident.
Her body was found in a drainage behind the building and moved to the mortuary. Police said they were investigating both suicide and murder in the incident.
Meanwhile, police in Matete, Kakamega County were Saturday investigating an incident where a teacher was found dead after a suspected murder.
The deceased, identified as Stephen Keraro Obieto, 50 was a teacher at Makwabuye Comprehensive School.
His body was found lying in a pool of blood with a fractured left hand. The body also had a deep cut in the ankle.
The police said the body was moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy and investigations. No arrest had been made by Sunday in connection with the murder. Police said they were yet to establish the motive of the murder.
In Siakago, Embu County, one Njeru Marumba, 75 was found dead after a fire swept through his house.
The cause of the fire was not immediately known, police said as they moved the body to the mortuary pending an autopsy.
In Kasarani area, Nairobi, a man was found dead at a construction site. The victim’s body was discovered at a void area of the site long after the incident had happened, police said.
Police said they suspect the man was an intruder to the scene and fell off accidentally and died.
The body was moved to the mortuary pending identification and autopsy.
And police arrested two more suspects in connection with the murder of preteen girl Shantel Waruguru in Kiamachimbi, Mathira, Nyeri County. The suspect included the mother of the prime suspect and his brother.
The police said the two surrendered to the police in Kikuyu and Nyahururu after learning they were wanted for the murder. They were later moved to Mathira for further processing and possible arraignment.
The murder sparked violent protests in the area on February 8, 2026.
