    Missing house help found murdered in house in Athi River

    Detectives are investigating the murder of a house help whose body was found in a shop after her murder in Whistling Moran area, Athi River, Machakos County.

    The woman identified as Precious Kanari, 25 had been missing since Friday March 20 before her body was discovered two days later.

    The body had been covered with sacks and stashed in shelves in the grocery shop. An attendant who was taking care of the shop was missing.

    The owners of the shop told police they had left it under the care of a worker and on coming back on Sunday they found it in disarray.

    It was then that the body was found hidden in a shelf. The deceased was a house help of a neighbour at the scene and she is believed to have come to visit the caretaker when she met her death.

    Police said her body had stab wounds in the chest and that they recovered two blood stained knives from the scene.

    The body was moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy and investigations.

    In Kangundo, Machakos County, a woman was killed in a domestic fight.

    Police said they found the body of Victoria Nditi Musyoka, 33 in the hospital where she succumbed after the fatal assault.

    The woman had separated from her husband and had come to visit her children. It was then a quarrel broke out leading to the fatal attack. The man rushed her to the hospital where she died. This was after he stabbed her in the shoulder using a screwdriver, causing a deep wound.

    The screwdriver was later recovered at the scene, police said as they moved the body to the mortuary for autopsy and detained the man pending arraignment.

    Elsewhere in Navakholo, Kakamega County, one John Sifuna, 37 who was reported missing was found dead in a stream.

    Police visited his house and noticed blood stains therein which had been concealed by soil.

    The body had a deep cut in the cheek when it was found and moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy.

    Police said they are yet to establish the motive of the murder and no arrest had been made by Monday morning.
