Ol Kalou, Member of Parliament David Njuguna Kiaraho is dead after an illness.

The Nyandarua County legislator passed away on Sunday morning while undergoing medical treatment in India.

A family spokesman said he had been unwell for some time and had sought treatment both locally and abroad.

He served as the Member of Parliament for Ol Kalou Constituency in Nyandarua County since 2013.

He has been re-elected in subsequent general elections, including in 2017 and 2022.

Kiaraho’s death marks a significant loss to his constituents and the political leadership, coming as he was serving as the area MP

Kiaraho attended Munyeki Primary School between 1971 and 1973.

He later transferred to Park Road Primary School, where he completed his primary education and obtained his Certificate of Primary Education (CPE) in 1977.

For his secondary education, he joined Alliance High School, where he studied from 1978 to 1981 and completed his O-Level certification.

He then proceeded to Nairobi School for his A-Level studies between 1982 and 1983.

Following his secondary education, Kiaraho enrolled at the University of Nairobi (UoN), where he pursued a Bachelor of Architecture from 1985 to around 1992/1993.

After graduating from the University of Nairobi in the early 1990s, Kiaraho began his professional career in architecture.

From around 1993 to the 2000s, he worked in private architectural practice within Kenya’s construction sector, handling design, planning, and project implementation.

Over the years, he was associated with architectural consultancy and development projects in both the private sector and built environment space, contributing to housing and infrastructure-related work.

By the 2000s into the 2010s, he had established himself as a practicing architect involved in project planning and development, with experience spanning urban design, land use, and construction processes.
