    Epileptic man dies in fire incident in Nyeri

    A man who has been nursing epilepsy was found dead in his house in Mweiga, Nyeri County.

    Police said they suspect Batista Wachani Wambugu, 48 was attacked by his diseased and fell into a fire that he was preparing dying.

    His body was found in his house in Kamatongu village, police said of the May 16 incident.

    The victim was a farm help in in a farm in the area and his body was found lying face down over a fire place within his house.

    The body was moved to the mortuary pending other procedures, police said.

    Such patients need special and close care for their survival.

    In Bondo, Siaya County, the body of a man aged about 20 was found lying dead in a thicket after a suspected murder incident.

    The motive of the May 16 incident was not immediately known, police said as they moved the body to the mortuary for identification and autopsy.

    In Chuka, Tharaka Nithi County, a 55-year-old man died after being hit by a cow in Cheera village.

    Police said Festus Njagi Taari was cutting grass for the cow when it turned and hit him.

    Police said they are investigating the incident adding that the body was moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy.

    In Nyali, Mombasa County, a 15-year-old girl drowned at the Indian Ocean.

    She was a Grade nine pupil at Maweni Primary School and is believed to have drowned while swimming there.

    In Uasin Gishu County, the body of a man aged 24 was found floating on river Sosian after a drowning incident.

    The decomposed body was moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy. Police said the case of the man had been reported as missing and was identified as Paul Otundo.

    He had been missing since May 9 when a report was made to the local police station in Turbo.

    The police said they were investigating how he died.
