Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah is holidaying in the Maldives after a low key World Cup outing with Egypt in Russia.

Salah posted pictures on Twitter of him having a “good time” in the Indian Ocean Island.

Visit Maldives confirmed the presence of the “Egyptian King” in the country.

“The globally-acclaimed Egyptian football player Mo Salah chooses Maldives for a post-world cup family vacation,” the tourism body tweeted.

The 25-year-old scored twice as the Pharaohs crushed out the Russian showpiece winless after three group matches against the hosts, Uruguay and Saudi Arabia.

His goals came in 3-1 and 2-1 defeats to Russia and Saudi Arabia.

Salah had a memorable 2017-18 season with Liverpool in the Premier League – emerging the top scorer with 32 goals.

In total he scored 44 goals for the Champions League runners-up in 51 games.

For his exploits the former Roma man was named the Premier League’s Player of the season, PFA Player of the Year and Football Writers’ Association Footballer of the Year.

Salah will miss Liverpool’s tour of the USA where they will play Manchester United and Real Madrid in the International Champions Cup.
