Finnley Hugh Allen, commonly known as Finn Allen, is a New Zealand international cricketer born on 22 April 1999 in Auckland.
A right-handed top-order batter who can also keep wicket and bowl occasional right-arm off-spin, he is recognized for his aggressive, power-hitting style that has made him a standout in limited-overs cricket.
Allen represents New Zealand primarily in white-ball formats, wearing jersey number 16.
He attended Saint Kentigern College in Auckland and rose through the ranks via age-group cricket, including appearances for New Zealand in the Under-19 World Cups.

Career
Allen made his Twenty20 debut for Auckland in the Super Smash during the 2016–17 season and later featured in List A and first-class cricket.
He was part of New Zealand’s Under-19 squads for the 2016 and 2018 World Cups, scoring a notable century in the latter tournament.
After early years with Auckland, he moved to Wellington for the 2020–21 season, where he excelled as the leading run-scorer in the Super Smash with 512 runs and helped the side claim the title.
He later returned to Auckland. His international career began with a T20I debut against Bangladesh on 28 March 2021 in Hamilton.
After a modest start, he produced a rapid 71 off 29 balls in the series. He made his ODI debut against Ireland on 10 July 2022.
Across T20Is he has scored over 1,600 runs at a high strike rate, including multiple centuries, while in ODIs he has contributed solidly in limited appearances.
Domestically and in franchises he has played for teams including Lancashire, Birmingham Phoenix, Yorkshire, Southern Brave, San Francisco Unicorns, Perth Scorchers, Quetta Gladiators, and Kolkata Knight Riders in the IPL.
Standout performances include a 137 off 62 balls against Pakistan in a T20I, with 16 sixes, and a record-breaking 151 off 52 balls in Major League Cricket featuring 19 sixes.
In the 2026 T20 World Cup he played a key role in New Zealand’s campaign, which ended as runners-up.

Allen has collected several notable achievements. He finished as the top run-scorer in the 2020–21 Super Smash while helping Wellington win the title.
In T20Is he holds New Zealand records such as the most sixes in an innings, with 16 against Pakistan, and a high individual score of 137.
In Major League Cricket he set a league record with 151 off 52 balls and a world T20 mark for most sixes in an innings, with 19.
During the 2026 ICC T20 World Cup he scored the fastest century in the tournament’s history, an unbeaten 100 off just 33 balls in the semi-final against South Africa, powering New Zealand into the final where they finished as runners-up.
He has also registered centuries and high strike rates across franchise cricket, including strong returns for Perth Scorchers in the Big Bash League and contributions for Kolkata Knight Riders.
