    Tanzanian Journalists Plan Demo To Protest Assault Of One Of Their Own By Police (Video)

    Tanzanian journalists are up in arms over assault on one of their own, Sillas Mbisse, by the police.

    The incident, which was captured in a short video clip, occurred Wednesday at National Stadium, Dar Es Salaam during Simba SC’s friendly against Asante Kotoko of Ghana .

    In the video, three riot policemen wielding buttons are seen slapping bear chested Mbisse in turns until he drops on the floor facing down.

    Tanzanian journalists has organized a demo after the video went viral on social media and are currently assembling at the Tanzanian Football Federation (TFF)  offices before they match to the police headquarters.

    Under President John Pombe Magufuli aka the Bulldozer, there has a systematic encroachment on the media space in the  and some journalists have been victims, according to reports.
