ICEA Lion Group insurance agent accused of killing his nephew for his insurance proceeds has been arrested.
Evans Masaku Kasyoka was on Tuesday arrested at the Thika Road Mall (TRM) and is being held at the Kasarani Police station before being transferred to Kangundo Police Station.
The suspect was exposed on Citizen Tv’s #MurderForProfit exclusive on Sunday which prompted the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) Noordin Haji to take immediate legal steps to ensure justice is served.
“The DPP attention has been drawn to a news feature appearing on Citizen Tv prime time news in regard to the Kangundo incident. Due to the nature of the case, the DPP has directed that immediate legal steps be taken to ensure justice is done,” tweeted the DPP.

Evans is said to have been involved in his nephew’s death, Eric Makau Musyoka, in a bid to get compensation proceeds worth Ksh9 million after being listed as the benefactor.
The deceased owned two life insurance policies, one with Jubilee insurance worth Ksh1 million while the other one was with AIG Insurance, worth Ksh8 million.
ICEA has since terminated his contract as an agent.
