Marco Silva’s Everton side will welcome Kenyan SportPesa Premier League champions Gor Mahia FC to Goodison Park later this year following K’Ogalo’s victory in the SportPesa Super Cup final in June.

The match, which will see Everton and their visitors vie for the SportPesa Trophy, will be staged on either Tuesday, November 6 or Wednesday, November 7, with the exact date to be determined in due course.

Gor Mahia beat Simba SC Tanzania 2-0 in the final of the eight-team SportPesa Super Cup at the Afraha Stadium in Kenya.

Having retained the trophy they won in 2017, Gor Mahia will travel to England to play Everton, with the historic fixture at Goodison poised to mark the first occasion an East African club side has contested a match in the UK.

Everton travelled to Tanzania in July 2017 to face inaugural SportPesa Super Cup winners Gor Mahia in a game the Blues won 2-1.

Tickets for Everton’s meeting with the Kenya’s record 16 champions will be available to purchase in early October.
