    Sharon Otieno’s Family Appeals To Well-wishers To Help Raise Sh1 Million For Burial

    The late Sharon Otieno is set to be laid to rest on October 19 at her grandfather’s home in Magare Village, Kanyabala location.

    Her burial is going to however cost her family a fortune. According to the funeral committee chairman Elijah Opiyo, giving her decent send off will cost them at least Sh1 million.

    The money will be used to cater for the morgue charges, a coffin, food and refreshments.

    “We have not hit the target to cater for the burial expenses and we are appealing to well-wishers to assist us,” Opiyo said.

    The family had earlier on vowed not to bury the 26 year old mother of three until her killers are brought to book.

    “We have seen suspects connected to her murder arraigned in court. We are happy with the investigations so far and believe her killers will pay for their crimes,” the deceased’s father Douglas Otieno said.

    Ms Otieno will be buried next to her 7 month old foetus that was buried some three weeks ago.

    The prime suspects; Migori Governor Okoth Obado and his personal assistant Michael Oyamo, in her macabre murder are still in remand as police wrap up investigations.
