Gor Mahia beat Caf’s first registration deadline midnight Friday and submitted a squad of 26 players for next season’s Champions League football.

Ugandan forward Erisa Ssekisambu is among new faces in the list. The ex-Vipers SC player signed for the Kenyan champions Wednesday in time to be included.

Midfielder Kenneth Muguna, who rejoined the team after a short stint with KF Tirana in Albania was also part of the squad.

However, Nicholas Kipkirui’s name is missing after he failed to get his release letter from Zoo FC despite signing a four-year-contract with Gor.

Zoo have vowed not to issue the release letter as they claim the deal was done behind their back.

Kip’s contracts ends on 31 December and will be free then to feature for K’Ogalo even without the vital document.

Gor still have four more slots to fill during the current paid registration window with runs from 2 to 15 November 2018 but will have to part with Ksh 50,000 per player they want to include in the squad.

According to the club’s CEO Lordvick Aduda, they will submit names of two strikers, one a defender and one winger during the period.

    The Squad

Goalkeepers: Boniface Oluoch, Shaban Odhoji, Fredrick Onyango.

Defenders: Harun Shakava, Joash Oluoch, Joachim Oluoch, Charles Momanyi, Pascal Ogweno, Shafik Batambuze, Rahael Asudi, Philemon Otieno, Wellington Ochieng,  Karim Nizigiyimana.

Midfielders: Kenneth Miguna, George Odhiambo, Cercidy Okeyo, Francis Kahata, Bernard Ondiek, Lawrence Juma, Humphrey Mieno, Samuel Onyango, Boniface Omondi.

Strikers: Jacques Tuyisenge, Francis Mustafa, Eliud Lokuwam, Erissa Ssekisumba.
