A KCSE candidate died shortly after writing the Mathematics examination on Monday morning.

Keith Mong’are collapsed at school, Gesiaga Secondary School, Nyamira County and passed on on arrival at Omboga Nursing Home.

According to his father, Joshua Ongaga, his seventeen year old son had been been battling a heart disease.

“My son has been struggling with a heart problem and was on medication,” the deceased’s father told reporters.

In fact, he said, Mong’are was in good spirits before he sat for his first examination.

His body has been moved to Kinara hospital mortuary and is set to undergo a postmortem.
