AFC Leopards coach Nikola Kavazovic has deactivated his Twitter account @kavaz011 after insulting the club’s Organizing Secretary Timothy Lilumbi.

The Serbian on Monday tweeted “because of these Lilumbis, who can put so much stupidity in one sentence I left.”

Nikola was referring to a statement made by the official that he (Nikola) was free to leave the club so long as he returns sign on fee he was paid.

The former Botswana’s Township Rollers gaffer has since deactivated his Twitter account following a backlash from many who viewed his tweet as disrespectful to his employer.

Respectable voice in African football African Soccer Updates opined “The disrespect Nikola is dishing out to AFC Leopards is what most African clubs officials must get for converting carpenters into football club managers and giving them the biggest jobs in African football with the fattest salaries.”

Khumo Celesto Kenalemang commented on Facebook “you people don’t know Nikola, ask us in Botswana. I remember when he signed to coach AFC Leopards, I said he won’t last there, because they can’t manage him.

While at Township Rollers, he used that tactic of saying that he is going to his country for family issues but then you realize he is negotiating contracts elsewhere.”

Nikola left the country last weekend with the club issuing a statement to the effect that he was granted time off to go attend to family matters.

Media reports, especially from South Africa, have repeatedly linked him with a move to Free States Stars in the Premier Soccer League.

Leopards officially unveiled him as new coach early November to replace Argentine Rodolfo Zapata, who was fired for poor performance.
