Nokia launched a square shaped X5 phone yesterday at the Nokia Connection event in Singapore. This is after two launches this month is Germany and Nairobi. Nokia seems to be going to the target mass consumer location to launch the various products.

The X5 phone targets the music lovers  with dedicated music keys on the QWERTY keyboard and also loudspeakers. The phone also comes with OVI Music service.

The device supports instant messaging and has dedicated facebook, Twitter, Myspace and other social networking applications. The phone comes with a x4 Zoom camera which has 5 MP and LED flash as well as 200MB Micro SD memory which can be upgraded to 32 GB.

You can change the track playing by spinning the phone and read the unread messages just by shaking the phone.  Nokia expects the phone to retail at 165 Euros before taxes and subsidies and will begin retailing globally in the third quarter of 2010. Nokia also launched an X6 mobile phone.
