The succession battle of former Vice President Kijana Wamalwa’s wealth has taken a new twist after the last born daughter of the the former VP went to court seeking restraining order against Devolution Cabinet Secretary Eugene Wamalwa and 11 other extended family members.

The daughter, Michelle Wamalwa, says that she took the step after receiving several death threats from anonymous people whom she suspects to be sent by members of the extended family.

Her brother Derek Mboya  is also said to have received similar threats, revolving around the inheritance of Kijana Wamalwa estate.

Michelle and Derek are born of the late Yvonne Wamalwa who passed on last year.

The two have accused CS Wamalwa of teaming up with their relatives to dethrone them from their father’s estate.

Michelle has been reported to have been out of school for over one year due to lack of school fees.

Their mother, Yvone, is said to have died a ‘poor woman after getting fired by the Jubilee government,’ according to Kiminini MP Chris Wamalwa.

”President Mwai Kibaki appointed our departed sister as an ambassador. But when Jubilee took over, she was sacked. Yvonne died a poor woman,” the Kiminini MP said.
