Twin Brothers Marry One Woman In Zambia

In the African culture, a man can marry two or more wives and cause no alarm. However, it is absurd and a taboo in most communities for a woman to have two husbands.

The norm seems to have been broken in Zambia, where two twins are said to have married one wife.

In video circulating online, the twins and the woman purported to be their wife are seen kneeling on a mat, each with a wedding ring.

The two husbands do a Zulu dance, that marks the culmination of a wedding ceremony in the country.

Last year, a group of Shembe women in the country wrote to the judicial council asking for the same status as male members which includes the church’s marriage policy. allowing women to have two husbands just like men are allowed to have two wives.
