Stanley Okumbi could swing back into Kenyan Premier League coaching three years since he left Mathare United.

The former Harambee Stars manager is linked with the vacant AFC Leopards coaching job, according to a Kahawa Tungu source.

“The announcement could be made soon but the club is also looking at other options which include foreigners,” said the source.

Ingwe are without a coach after Marko Vesiljevic threw in the towel after a string of poor performances.

The 25-year-old was on the touchline as Bandari FC whipped his side 4-1 away in Mombasa in a KPL outing leading to him resignation as fans called for his head.

Okumbi left Mathare in December 2015 and was later appointed the head coach of the national team, the Harambee Stars.

He managed a total of 21 international matches where he won five, drew eight and lost nine before he was forced to resigned due to pressure from fans.

Okumbi, however, was retained by the Football Kenya Federation as the U-20 coach.
