Speaker Justin Muturi has stopped the Parliamentary Public Investment Committee(PIC) from investigating the proposal by  Kenya Airways  to take over the management  of Jomo Kenyatta International airport.

The parliamentary committee had accused the PIC of overstepping their mandate after they tabled a report on the take over. The parliamentary committee found that the take over would have Kenyans losing money.

Muturi said in his response to a letter by the Transport committee that the take over was a policy issue and therefore was mandated to the transport committee.

Earlier this week the Parliamentary committee had sent away the Transport PS Esther Koimett who had appeared before them without the proposal document.
