How many pages and groups have the name Churchill Live? See them here or here. Cyber squatting is becoming more common each and everyday in Kenya. Its not limited to Churchill who is the most successfull comedian here. Its also happening with Government officials like Ministers, Prime Minister, Vice President and MPs. Even the good old Baba Jimmy (President Kibaki) is having squatters sit on his ID in Facebook, Twitter and Linkedin.

Churchill aka Mwalimu King’ang’i has more than 12 facebook pages and groups to his name varrying from Mwalimu King’ang’i, Daniel Ndambuki, Churchill Live to Churchill King’ang’i. Raila Odinga the Kenyan president has more than 8 facebook pages and groups to his name. Uhuru Kenyatta, President Kibaki, Martha Karua, and COTU Secretary general, Francis Atwoli have many groups and pages to their name.

In twitter we have squatters sitting on IDs of Alfred Mutua, Maina Njenga, Raila Odinga, Kalonzo Musyoka and Mwai Kibaki. The acts is not limited to individual names only. We have many squatters sitting on accounts of companies like Safaricom, Equity Bank and others. Here is a search on Raila Odinga on twitter
