Jubilee nominated MP and chairman of the National Council of Persons with Disabilities David Ole Sankok has apparently abandoned his three old son following a two year extra marital affair.

According to a woman identified as Peris Maina who spoke to the Nairobian, the legislator has neglected his child as he was and still is a married man.

Ms Maina met the lawmaker in 2012 when he was still practicing medicine at a clinic known as Osim Clinic in Narok town.

After a two steamy love affair, she alleges, she fell pregnant in 2015. Sankok promised to take care of his child, only to take off shortly after receiving the news.

“In 2015, I fell pregnant and when I broke the news, he assured me he would take care of me and the baby,” she asserted.

After giving birth, the MP started ignoring her text messages and calls. Three months later she dumped the child at his father’s clinic.

He would later reach out through his receptionist who handed Maina Sh20,000 for the child’s upkeep.

She also maintained that he (Sankok) asked her to keep her mouth shut about the matter only for him to disappear again.

But according to Sankok, Maina is a liar. She apparently went to his clinic as a patient looking to procure an abortion.

Speaking to the Nairobian, Sankok noted that he is ready to take a DNA test to prove his innocence.

“Once I get a court order, I’m ready for the DNA to be conducted. I’m 100 percent sure that the child is not mine,” he said.

On the other hand, Maina maintained that the lawmaker has still been sending her small amounts of money with the most recent being Sh8,000 received on January 2, 2019.

She has reported the matter to Nakuru West sub-county Children’s office on January 4 because she can no longer support her child. She lost her job at an audit firm in Kitengela.

On Tuesday, Labour PS Nelson Marwa was accused of abandoning his one year old daughter with a 27 year old Kitale woman.

In her court documents, she claims the PS only settled a Sh50,000 hospital bill before he became a dead beat father.

On his part, Marwa disputed the claims saying he has no prior knowledge of the woman and has never supported the woman financially or paid the alleged hospital bill.

The court has directed that the two undergo a DNA test to determine the paternity of the child.
