The Alliance For Real change presidential candidate Abduba Dida has said that he will notwithdraw his participation from the October 26 election.

He however said that issues that were raised should be discussed otherwise the fresh election will be worse that the August 8 polls.

He said that the people in charge of departments that were mentioned in the bungled election should resign from the commission on half salary to pave way for investigations.

‘Those in charge of logistics, legal and IT departments must step aside with half salary and let investigations be conducted. If they are innocent they will resume but if guilty let them face the law.’

Abduba Dida suggested that ex military officers and UN officers who are not interested in politics  should take charge of the elections.

He said that the IEBC had the power of addressing all the problems but were doing things under the blanket.

“All the changes that have been proposed can be implemented within the remaining time before the election. The problem with IEBC [officials] is that they are doing things under the blanket and expecting everyone to believe their narrative.”

Abduba Dida termed Raila as a clever man for withdrawing saying he was just testing waters to ensure that IEBC act in accordance to the law.
