Nyakach Accident Kills 5, Several Injured

An accident along the Sondu- Kisumu road on Monday morning claimed 5 lives, three men and one woman.

The horrid accident happened at Ngege area in Nyakach Sub County.

Another 8 people are said to have been injured but were rushed to Nyabondo Mission Hospital after a matatu belonging to BestLine Sacco veered off the road into a ditch.

The matatu driver is said to have lost control while trying to negotiate a corner.

Area ODCP Malova Nyakach said they are looking for the driver who took off.

The bodies were taken to Pap Onditi Morgue awaiting identification.
