The Supreme Court on Friday revoked the acquittal of two Iranians convicted of terror-related charges by the High Court in 2013.
Ahmad Mohammed and Sayed Mousavi will be held in police custody until determination of appeal by the state.
The apex court in April directed the DPP to ensure that their rights are not infringed upon while the DPP’s office sought to have their life sentence upheld.
In January, Appellate Judges Kihara Kariuki, Kathurima M’inoti and Agnes Murgor acquitted the two saying that there was no sufficient evidence to link them to the bomb making material, RDX, at the Mombasa Golf Course where it was found.
The court stated that the golf course was not fenced or guarded and it was possible for any member of the public to have entered it and place the material.

They were found in possession of 15kgs of explosives. They were planning to carry out bombings in the country.
