AG Dorcas Oduor Appoints Panel For Waqf Commission Selection

Attorney General Dorcas Oduor and Cabinet Secretaries William Kabogo, Lee Kinyajui and Deborah Barasa are among seven leaders honoured with one of Kenya’s highest national awards — the Elder of the Order of the Golden Heart (E.G.H.).

President William Ruto conferred the honours on Friday, December 12, during this year’s Mashujaa Day celebrations.

Others awarded the E.G.H. were Dr. Pratt Kristina Kenyatta, Ole Ntutu Patrick Keturet and Dr. Jaffer Mohamed Husein.

Oduor, Kabogo and Kinyajui joined the government under a broad-based unity arrangement. Kabogo currently serves as Cabinet Secretary for ICT, while Kinyajui heads the Trade ministry.

The President also awarded Lt. Gen. Ketter David Kipkemboi and Maj. Gen. Waliaula Bernard with the Moran of the Order of the Golden Heart (M.G.H.), the third class of the national honour.
