Residents of Grafion apartments on lane 26 in Ruaka, Kiambu County, escaped death by a whisker on Tuesday night after a section of the apartment sunk following night rains.
In the images, which have surfaced online, the car park under construction, sunk with some vehicles.
The pillars of the apartment nearly went down during the incident.
Luckily, no causalities have been reported.
However, residents have since been ordered to vacate the apartment over safety concerns.
Reports indicate the developer had dug up a huge foundation next to the apartment, without putting in place necessary reinforcement, weakening the building’s perimeter wall.
