Kenyan Goalkeeper Arnold Origi Joins Finland Side HIFK

Harambee Stars international Arnold Origi has joined Finland top flight side IFK Helsingfors.

The 35-year-old former Tusker and Mathare United stopper has not settled since leaving Norwegian side Lillestrom in 2017.

He briefly turned out for Norwegian sides Sandnes Ulf and Kongsvinger in 2018.

Origi has not played for the Harambee Stars since 2016 but remains one of the most talented keepers Kenya has ever produced.

He managed to acquire a Norwegian citizenship but remains eligible for the Harambee Stars.

Kenya is gearing to play in the 2019 Afcon in Egypt mid this year. The team has already qualified but will play Ghana in the final Group F game away in Accra on Sunday.

Head coach Sebastian Migne has stuck with St. George FC goalkeeper Patrick Matasi and it is still unclear whether the door is open for Origi.
